Who we are
This website and the business workspace are operated by Create Your Quote Pty Ltd (ACN 702 518 590, ABN 32 702 518 590), trading as Create Your Quote, based in Perth, Western Australia.
What we collect
When you enquire, we collect the name, business, email, optional phone and website, business category and message you provide. A workspace account also stores your saved sample designs, account details and project conversations. Please don’t submit sensitive personal information or another person’s private details.
Why we use it
We use your details to respond to your request, understand your business, discuss a possible service and operate your workspace. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. We do not sell enquiry or account information.
Storage and access
Application records are held in a private Postgres database hosted by Railway in its Singapore region, reachable only from the application. Authorised site operators can review enquiries. A business account can access its own saved designs and project records. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never as readable text. A forgotten password is handled by a one-time sign-in link emailed to the account address.
Service providers and technical logs
Railway provides hosting and the database. Google Workspace handles our business mailbox and booking calendar. Resend sends the website’s notification emails: the enquiry alert to us and a confirmation copy to the address you entered. Technical information, including IP addresses and request logs, may be processed by their infrastructure and support systems outside Australia, including in Singapore and the United States. Our abuse controls use a keyed hash of the request IP, and we use essential session cookies for sign-in. The public site does not load advertising trackers. When a page or request fails, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., United States) receives an error report so we can fix it: the error message and code location, the page address without its query, and the browser and device type. Form answers, cookies, sign-in details, email addresses and phone numbers are removed before the report leaves the site, and Sentry is set not to store IP addresses, though it may note an approximate city.
Optional visitor analytics
Create Your Quote (cyq) asks before loading Google Analytics or setting its cookies. You can decline and use the site normally. If you agree, we measure visits to selected public marketing pages using fixed page names, a few fixed steps such as the booking page being opened, and successful business enquiry submissions. We do not send URL queries, fragments, form answers, account identifiers or private Studio and workspace page views to Analytics. Advertising features and Google Signals are switched off.
Separately from Analytics, our own server keeps anonymous daily counts of a few steps on this website, such as the booking page being opened or a sample Studio being tried. Each count is only the step’s name: no cookies, identifiers, page addresses or form answers are sent with it. Choosing “No analytics”, or a browser that sends Global Privacy Control, turns these counts off.
Use “Analytics settings” to change your choice at any time. Turning analytics off stops future collection and attempts to remove its cookies from this browser; it does not erase visits already recorded. Your preference is saved in this browser’s local storage. Analytics cookies, when allowed, expire after 90 days. Google may process this usage information outside Australia. This choice is separate from Google sign-in, image generation and optional marketing emails.
During a private website preview, an essential access cookie remembers a successful preview-password check for up to eight hours. It is separate from analytics consent.
Photo visualisations
When you request an AI visualisation, your site photo, design reference and selected product details are sent to Google’s Gemini API to create an illustrative image. Avoid including people, registration plates or other private details in site photos. If your browser cannot convert a HEIC photo, our server processes it to make a compatible image. A standard photo preview does not itself request an AI render. In the Satellite tool, a business owner’s back-door photo is also sent once, downsized and without its location data, to Google’s Gemini API to find its horizon and fence lines so the plan can be drawn into it, and then, with our drawing of the plan in it (and a colour map of where each part goes), to make the illustrative picture; each picture made is sent back to Gemini with that drawing and map to check it against the plan; none of these is stored by that step. If the business then chooses to put that picture, or a still of the plan in 3D, on the homeowner’s proposal, a copy redrawn as a plain image (without its location data) is kept with that enquiry and deleted with it, on the enquiry’s retention period.
Kitchen design assistant and pictures
Where a Kitchen Studio offers “Ask AI for a change”, using it sends your typed request and a description of your design (no photo and no contact details) to Google’s Gemini API to suggest changes. It needs Google sign-in and has daily limits, and nothing in your design changes until you press Apply. “Generate with AI” sends a description of your room and starting layout (no photo and no contact details) in the same way and picks three designs from the business’s range; it counts against the same limits.
When you choose a design in a Kitchen Studio or ask for a photo-real kitchen picture again, your room photo (or a 3D picture of the room, if you resized a template room), a guide image of that design (or, when only how the kitchen looks changed — colours, finishes, door style, handles, benchtop, cooktop, splashback or task lighting — or a room style is picked, the last picture, to be edited) and a plain description of its layout and finishes are sent to Google’s Gemini API to make an artist’s impression. On public pages it needs Google sign-in and uses your four free image attempts. We do not keep the photo, the guide image or the picture, and the Studio does not attach an AI picture to an enquiry. Your pictures are kept only in your browser tab’s memory for up to an hour, so the same design in the same room style again costs nothing. For a template room you have not changed, the Studio first looks for the business’s ready-made picture of the same design, sending only a code that identifies the design; ready-made pictures use none of your free images and are made by cyq for the business from cyq’s illustrative template photos, never a customer’s photo. Pictures are artist’s impressions, not construction plans.
Google sign-in and free images
Google sign-in stores your Google account identifier, name and email separately from business workspace accounts. We use these details to recognise your account and enforce a lifetime allowance of four free AI image attempts across browsers and devices. Signing out does not reset this allowance. We do not request access to Gmail, contacts or your password. Google’s sign-in service loads when you open the sign-in controls. Essential cookies keep the sign-in session for up to eight hours.
Marketing emails are optional. We record your choice, its date and the consent wording version. You can withdraw consent using the email preference beside the image controls when signed in, or contact us. Signing in alone does not subscribe you. Account identifiers and image usage records support abuse prevention; no photo or generated image is stored in those records. A confirmed generation failure restores your personal allowance. A completed generation or an interrupted request whose outcome cannot be confirmed may still use an image.
Payments and bookings
Booking the free first call takes no payment. We keep the booking details you give us to confirm the appointment. If you agree a paid service with us, Stripe processes those payments on its own hosted pages, and we retain payment references to handle billing enquiries. Card details are entered with Stripe, not stored in our application. Google and Stripe may process information outside Australia under their own privacy terms.
Text messages
When a business uses our quoting tool for your project, we may text the mobile number you give: a link to your plan and to book a measure-up, and, a few weeks after the measure-up, one message asking whether you went ahead, where you can choose to tell us the final quote. We text the business about new enquiries and reminders. For each text we keep the number, the message, when it was sent and the delivery status our text provider reports. Your answer, and any final quote you give, is kept with that quote and used to check and improve how closely our estimates match final prices.
Texts are sent through ClickSend, which receives the number and the message to deliver it, and returns delivery reports and any reply. Texts come from the name of the business you sent your plan to, or from Create Your Quote, or from a shared number. Reply STOP to a text from the shared number, or use the opt-out link in a text from a name, and we will stop texting that number at once; we keep the number on an opt-out list for as long as we send texts, so the request is honoured. Reply START to the shared number to receive texts again. For now we text Australian mobile numbers only.
Pool, fence and pergola designs
When you send a design to a business through our pool, fence and pergola design tool, we collect it with your name, mobile and email on that business's behalf. Our collection notice for designs says who sees them, how long they are kept and how to ask about them.
Retention
We retain information while it is needed for your enquiry, account or an agreed service. You can ask us to review, correct or delete your information. Records may need to be retained where required for an active service, a dispute or a legal obligation. We review retention as part of account administration.
Your choices
Optional form fields can be left blank. You can customise a sample design without an account. Generating AI images requires Google sign-in. Sharing a design creates a link containing only the chosen sample options, not your account or contact details. A signed-in session expires after eight hours or when you sign out.
Contact about privacy
Email enquiries@createyourquote.com or use our contact form and label your message “Privacy request”. Include the email associated with your enquiry or account and what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing account information.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, email enquiries@createyourquote.com with the subject “Privacy complaint” and tell us what happened. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days. Where the Privacy Act 1988 applies, and you are not satisfied with our response or have not heard back within 30 days, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
